Morgan and Dan are two of the sweetest. Head over heels in love people I have had the pleasure of working with! That says a lot because ALL of my couples are pretty badass! Any time someone asked Morgan how she was doing throughout the wedding day. She simply said, “I’m marrying my best friend today! I’m great!”. That was the exact mindset they both had throughout the day. No matter what hiccups the day presented, it didn’t faze either of them!

Their Story

Dan and Morgan met a month after she moved to Bend (talk about fate!). They had mutual friends who introduced them to each other at a training for work. They spent the majority of the training talking with each other and maturely laughing at the brown clouds the trainers were drawing to symbolize company “waste.” In between their joking, they spoke to each other about data analytics and statistical software packages. Most importantly, their eyes lit up when discussing Harry Potter. Needless to say, the rest was history! Over the last year, the couple has only grown stronger. Their love continues to blossom, and their support, respect, and care for each other absolutely flourish!

The Ceremony

With a ceremony site overlooking the river, surrounded by towering trees, Bend mosquitoes, and a rustic lodge in the background… this location was one for the books! If you haven’t checked out Skyliner Lodge, I highly recommend it! There are hiking and biking trails all around, which enabled us to stumble our way down to the river for some epic wedding portraits. They had family heirlooms sprinkled throughout the celebration from their toast glasses to the cake cutting knife to the jewelry and wedding ring Morgan wore. They are surrounded by so many successful relationships and marriages that the support they have moving forward is undeniable.

Dan, who wasn’t so keen on the idea of having a photographer for their wedding or engagement has completely changed his outlook! At the end of the night, he leaned over to me as I was getting ready to leave and said: “In 3-4 years, we’ll call you for some maternity pictures!” And while we laughed, I don’t really think he was joking 🤣.

The couple’s who feel like old friends at the end of the night.. the ones who I know I will stay in touch with and grab a brew with next time I am in Bend.. Are by far one of the highlights of my job. Being able to be accepted into these intimate moments of their story and to capture them to relive over and over again for decades… I will never get tired of it.
