A wedding and elopement photographer livin’ in magical Oregon, obsessed with all of the perfectly imperfect moments of every love story. Let’s do this!
A newlywed session is your chance to add on extra time to be captured with that newlywed glow, in your wedding outfits or even in your pjs the following morning. Your newlywed session can take place before or after your elopement, in order to give you a whole extra set of photos from the special day/weekend.
A few immediate reasons for a newlywed session that comes to mind are:
Adding another location
Maybe you would have liked to incorporate the beach, mountains, your first date spot, or more. Sometimes having to narrow down your celebration to just one location is too hard, with an additional session you’re able to create another magical moment in that second or even third location.
Some extra alone time to truly capture the beautiful moment
Maybe you’ve planned a beautiful, intimate elopement but you’re still craving some true alone time to fully be with one another and not worry about everyone else. A newlywed session is perfect for this.
Private vow reading the day before
With an elopement there’s not much need for a rehearsal dinner, so take advantage of that night before to privately read your vows, with no pressure and a gorgeous sunset.
Twist it into a morning after steamy session.
Let’s be real, the chemistry between the two of you the next morning will be on fire. Maybe a couple’s boudoir newlywed session is right up your alley.
Or, take the following photos for example.
This couple chose to do a sunrise session the morning of their elopement. We were able to get out on the beach on The Big Island and capture some golden hour glow on a beach solely to ourselves. The couple was then able to spend the rest of their day with their friends knowing that their photos had already been captured.
