This one has a VERY special place in my heart. I grew up going to Lost Lake nearly every summer camping with friends and family and that has continued as an adult. Not only is it breathtaking, but the memories I have there bring me so much joy. Every summer, I look forward to disappearing up there. For days on end with no phone service, cards by the camp fire, and fishing with my dad. Last summer I shared that I was headed up to “my favorite place” with a picture of Lost Lake. Monique reached out to me shortly after explaining that she had seen my post while looking for wedding photographers. She saw how special it was to me which was perfect to capture her campground wedding!
Obviously, it didn’t disappoint. I didn’t have the pleasure to meet or work with Monique and Brenden prior to their wedding which always makes me a little nervous. But when I show up and the bride whispers in my ear that they want to jump off the dock at the end of the night and asked if I could capture that. I knew we were going to get along just fine. Any couple that camps for the week prior to their wedding and gets ready in rustic cabins is a win in my book!
The location is so beautiful on its own. However this couple put the perfect finishing touches on it really bringing it together. First, saying “I do” in a field overlooking the lake. Then dancing their first dance with two of their best friends singing and playing the guitar. Later wading out into the ice cold water at the end of the night, this was truly one for the books. Monique and Brenden, it was clear how loved and cherished you two are both as individuals and as a couple. I know there is nothing but brightness in your future and I hope to catch up with you again someday when you return! THANK YOU for allowing me to be a part of it.
Please enjoy this look into their oh so special day! This is just a quick edit of a few of my favorite images so please save any downloading/printing for the final gallery to follow soon! Feel free to share away on this post though! Check out this blog for some more inspiration in Mt. Hood. The vendors are listed at the bottom of the gallery. Cheers, friends!
