While the majority of my sessions are done deep in the forest or next to the ocean, lately I’ve been throwing some urban things into the mix. This downtown Seattle engagement session definitely didn’t disappoint!
Because downtown Seattle can get quite busy on a weekend morning, especially in the Pike Place neighborhood, we ventured out bright and early to beat the crowds! Coffees in hand, these two scooped me up at my hotel and our adventure began with a quick wrong turn going the wrong way on a one way road. No biggie, we survived and got prime parking – haha! Ooops!
We wandered up and down alleys, jumped into popular spots and landmarks with no one around, and skipped doing photos in front of the gum wall because, gross. We got to know each other and they showed me some of their favorite spots and breweries as we explored!
Sunrise and early morning sessions are always so lovely! The sky has a softness to it, places are quiet and then you have the whole day to make a date out of it! We also don’t have the time restrictions of the setting sun. Include a coffee stop and some brunch? Why not?! Talk about a win win win!
Unfortunately these two were impacted by the recent pandemic and had to reschedule their wedding to 2021. But I can’t wait to see them again (in more than a year 🤣) to celebrate with their friends and family at Sky Valley Gardens! I’ve loved how many more couples are finding me from the Seattle area. It is always a joy to go there and there are so many incredible wedding venue locations and elopement spots!
