Timberline Lodge Wedding - Brogan Marie Photography

“When he looked into her eyes, he learned the most important part of the language that all the world spoke — the language that everyone on earth was capable of understanding in their heart. It was love (at the Timberline Lodge wedding).

Something older than humanity, more ancient than the desert. What the boy felt at that moment was that he was in the presence of the only woman in his life, and that, with no need for words, she recognized the same thing. Because when you know the language, it’s easy to understand that someone in the world awaits you. Whether it’s in the middle of the desert or in some great city.

And when two such people encounter each other, the past and the future become unimportant. There is only that moment, and the incredible certainty that everything under the sun has been written by one hand only. It is the hand that evokes love, and creates a twin soul for every person in the world. Without such love, one’s dreams would have no meaning.”

~The Alchemist

I could not have asked for a kinder, more in love couple to kick start my 2018 wedding season with. Josie and Justin were calm and loving to everyone throughout the entire day. Furthermore, the love they feel for each other is obvious through the images.  There was not a dry eye in the room during their vows and ceremony readings. We had quotes from The Alchemist and Winnie the Pooh among them, mine included! Let me tell you, it is hard to focus your camera while fighting back tears. Nevertheless, I wouldn’t have it any other way.  I allow myself to become truly invested in my clients love stories. Seeing them come together in such a beautiful and unique way always brings out my emotional side.

I had intended on dragging Josie and Justin ALL over their snowy Timberline Lodge wedding outdoor property for their portraits but Mother Nature had other plans.  Seeing as it was an absolute whiteout blizzard with a wind chill of -11 degrees. We were bound to the indoors. Finding every uncrowded, well-lit nook and cranny I could, they rocked their portraits and never questioned my weird demands and ideas!

Thank you Josie and Justin, from the bottom of my heart, for allowing me to be a part of this Timberline Lodge wedding and your magnificent love story. I look forward to witnessing and being a part of the future chapters. Check out my other blog posts.
