Maui Anniversary Session – Kat and I met in THE MOST small world of ways… Seriously. So I’m a part of a travel group on Facebook with literally 786,020 women. Most posts are about trips people have taken. Advice on upcoming travel, pretty pictures of destinations, horror stories, etc. One day while super scrolling the Facebook feed, I see a post looking for a photographer for an upcoming trip to Maui. Figuring it was a long shot. Still, I commented asking what dates and what do you know, they align perfectly with when I was going to be there! Upon further conversation with Kat we determine that not only our dates will work to do the session, but she is from a town just down from mine. AND used to live with a kid I know from High School in GEORGIA. WHAT?!

Planning the Session

Obviously at that point we decide we have to meet in person. After a quick tea with her, her husband and their cute bambino it is all said and done! This trip to Maui was their first trip together since baby. So obviously we had to document it in the best way possible! Sunrise beach sessions are officially my new favorite thing! We had the entire beach in Kihei, Maui to ourselves allowing us to document and photograph their love and relationship in the most fun and joyous way possible.

If you don’t like teal water, sandy toes, laughter and happiness… this post isn’t for you. And we should probably start questioning our friendship haha!
